History
WELCOME TO TOBAGO’S MOST WELL ESTABLISHED, TRADITIONAL GUEST HOUSES.
Located in the heart of Buccoo | Tobago, Miller’s Guest House has been welcoming visitors from near and far since the year 1950. As a family operated Guest House with an onsite restaurant and bar overlooking Buccoo Bay, our goal is not only to make you feel comfortable but to exceed your expectations. Allow us to serve as your base in beautiful Tobago.
This family operated guest house has been operational since 1951 and was a pioneer establishment in the accommodation sector in Tobago.
The owner Mrs Luvinia Miller was a matriarch of Buccoo Point and built the first house on the plot with her husband Dusty Miller who was an inter-island steamship captain. She was very skilled at cooking and pastry making and interacted with a foreign tourist who came through Buccoo Point on an island trek and could smell her cooking. He asked her for a meal and then pursuant to that, requested accommodation and the idea was born. Due to Mrs Miller’s affable traits, she decided to offer room and board at the newly created guest house
” Tobago has always been a participator model rather than a spectator model. Our visitors prefer to mingle in with the citizens and residents. They get to know the villagers of Buccoo on a first name basis, they participate in cook-ups, party with us in Sunday School festivities, they go fishing with us. “
